Some alternative adventures while at ZDayZ are listed below and are a short drive from ZDayZ if you choose to not attend one or more of our scheduled events. As you can see on our event's page, we do have many things planned for all of you.

Guided Pontoon Boat Tours

Guided Pontoon Boat Tours: The Fontana Marina now offers guided Pontoon Boat Tours that last approximately 1 hour and cost $15.00 per person.

Fontana Dam

Fontana Dam: The Fontana Dam Visitor Center is open to the public from 9am to 7pm daily from May through November

Boat Rentals

Marina & Boat Rentals: Boats, jet skis, canoes, and kayaks are available for rent on Fontana Lake.

Waterfalls

Waterfalls: There are several waterfalls located throughout Graham County. Click on the waterfall pictures to learn more about the falls and their locations.

Joyce Kilmer National Forest

Joyce Kilmer National Forest: A walk through Joyce Kilmer Memorial Forest is a journey back in time through a magnificent forest with towering trees as old as 400 years.

Jet Boat

Jet Boat Ride:Take an exhilarating ride on scenic Lake Fontana. With the Great Smoky Mountains National Park as your backdrop. A hike and boat ride package is also offered.

Smoky Mountain Train Ride

Smoky Mountain Train Ride: The Great Smoky Mountains Railroad is truly spectacular with 53 miles of track, two tunnels, and 25 bridges. Choose from a variety of round trip excursions departing from depots in Dillsboro and Bryson City.

Rafting

Whitewater Rafting: There are numerous rafting companies that will take you rafting on the Nantahala River out of Bryson City. For those with prior rafting experience wanting more challenge, try the Cheoah out of Robbinsville.

Hiking Trails Hiking Trails: Sixty-eight percent of Graham County is located within the boundaries of the Nantahala National Forest. This allows visitors the opportunity to hike some of the most beautiful woodlands in the eastern US. There are are over 40 trails varying in scenery, terrain, and degree of difficulty.
Dillsboro, NC

Dillsboro, NC: Since the turn of the last century, travelers have retreated to this quaint mountain town that offers a taste of small town America. Shop at a wide assortment of specialty & craft stores. Don't forget to try lunch at the Jarret House.

Cades Cove Loop

Cades Cove Loop: An 11-mile road with a wide array of historic buildings dating back to the late 19th and early 20th centuries. These include a grist mill, a variety of historic barns, three churches, and a marvelous collection of log homes and outbuildings.

Tuckaleechee Caverns

Tuckaleechee Caverns: Carved over tens of thousands of years in one of the earth's oldest mountain chains, the Tuckaleechee Caverns at Townsend, TN are known as the 'greatest site under the smokies'.
