The Blowing Rock: North Carolina's oldest travel attraction. Short scenic walk includes views of Grandfather Mtn, Table Rock & Hawksbill. Garden waterfall, observation tower & unique gift shops. Open daily Apr-Dec & Thurs-Mon in Jan-Mar, weather permitting. On Highway 321 South across from Green Park Inn. Handicap accessible.

Blue Ridge Parkway: The Blue Ridge Parkway meanders for 469 miles through North Carolina and Virginia, offering incredible views, a variety of hiking trails, and many historical and cultural sites. Blowing Rock is located on the Blue Ridge Parkway, nearly at the midpoint. The Parkway is open year-round, weather permitting in winter, and there is no admission cost. The local Parkway visitor center information desk and America's National Parks bookstore are located inside the Moses Cone Estate house with a craft shop operated by the Southern Highland Craft Guild. The visitor information desk and bookstore are open from May through October, while the craft shop is open from early April through November.

Boone Golf Club: One of the South's premier golf facilities, designed by Ellis Maples, opened in 1959 and available to the public all season-April through November. Located in a beautiful valley, just north of Blowing Rock, the course features level to gently rolling fairways, large undulating greens and breathtaking views of the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains. Well stocked Pro Shop, restaurant and putting green available. Tee times are recommended and groups are welcome.

Glen Burney Trail: Trailhead located inside Annie Cannon Memorial Gardens. The 1.6 mile out-and-back trail features a series of waterfalls: Cascades, Glen Burney and Glen Marie (sometimes called Glen Mary). The route descends several hundred feet into John's River Gorge. It is suspected that the trail dates back to at least the late 1800s, and may have been used earlier by Native American hunters. ***Please note that the trail is adjacent to private property, and show courtesy concerning signage and property notifications.***

Rhoddie Bicycle Outfitters: Rhoddie Bicycle Outfitters is a full service bicycle shop. We offer sales, rentals, group rides, repairs, and fitting services. We provide all the gear necessary to fully enjoy the cycling opportunities this region has to offer. We have bikes and gear for road, mountain, gravel, pathway, and kids bicycling. Rhoddie also offers complimentary ride maps and will help with your route planning at our map kiosk, located in the shop.
